6. Instructions for use
6.1 Expressing milk with a Pumpset
• Wash your hands thoroughly.
• Attach the Pumpset to the Ardo breastpump.
• Sit down comfortably and relax.
• Centre the nipple so that, when pumping, it moves
freely in the breast shell (breast shell insert).
• Switch on the pump.
6.2 Using the double Pumpset
• Attach the second Pumpset to the second opening of
the tube connector (see illustration "Assembling").
• Using the Ardo Carum breastpump: Place a Pumpset
on your breast, switch on the pump and position the
second Pumpset on your other breast.
• Using the Ardo Calypso breastpump: Position both the
Pumpsets at the same time (see illustration). Switch on
the pump and place one hand on each Pumpset.
7. Choice of breast shell and Optiflow
massage insert
If your nipple rubs uncomfortably on the inner side of the
funnel, use a larger breast shell (breast shell insert). If the
areola is also sucked into the funnel, use a smaller breast
shell. The Optiflow can only be used with the 31 mm
breast shell.
8. Storage of breast milk
At room temperature: 6 hours at a maximum of 25 °C (77 °F); in the refrigerator: 5 days at a maximum of 4 °C (39 °F); in
freezing compartment with door: 3 - 6 months at -16 °C (3 °F); in the freezer: 6 - 12 months at < -18 °C (0 °F)
