Checking the engine condition (MONITOR function)
2. Select [OK] using the "
and then push the set button.
The reset completed screen will be dis-
played.
3. Push the set button.
The engine running time will be reset
and "0:00" will be displayed.

Checking the error codes

The error codes detected by the ECU self-di-
agnosis system can be displayed.
If there are no malfunctions detected, "00"

will be displayed.

ing error code will be displayed and the in-
dicator light will become red.
TIP
When a malfunction is detected, the indica-
G
tor light will become red even if the MONI-
TOR screen is displayed.
When multiple malfunctions have been de-
G
tected, the error codes are displayed in or-
der starting with the lowest numbered code.
To identify the malfunctioning item using
G
the error code, refer to the owner's service
manual for the vehicle.
NOTICE
If the display indicates an error code, the
vehicle should be checked by a Yamaha
dealer as soon as possible in order to
avoid engine damage.
