INTRODUCTION
The FC410CIM FC Ad dress able Con tact In put Mod ule is de signed to mon i -
tor fire con tacts such as ex tin guish ing sys tem con trol, ven ti la tion con trol, fire
door con trol etc. The FC410CIM can be con fig ured as:
Two spur cir cuits (Class B) mon i tor ing mul ti ple nor mally open con tacts,
with short cir cuit giv ing a fault out put.
Two spur cir cuits (Class B) mon i tor ing sin gle nor mally closed con tacts,
with short cir cuit giv ing a fault out put.
Two spur cir cuits (Class B) mon i tor ing mul ti ple nor mally open con tacts,
with short cir cuit giv ing an alarm.
FEATURES
FC410CIM mo ni to ring fe a tu res in clu de the fol lo wing con fi gu ra ble items:
Iden ti fies all mo ni to red con tacts and si gnals to the Fire Con trol ler the sta -
tus of mo ni to red con tacts and wi ring to the con tacts.
Can mon i tor a sin gle nor mally closed con tact.
Can mon i tor two Class B spur cir cuits.
A mon i tored con tact go ing to the ac tive state, on ei ther spur cir cuit, will cause
FC410CIM to re port the Ac tive State back to the Fire Class con trol ler.
An LED re ports FC410CIM sta tus to the user.
The LED lights when the con tact mo ni to red by the FC410CIM has swit -
ched to the ac ti ve (off nor mal) sta te.
The LED when nor mally off, will pulse when the FC410CIM is polled by
the con trol ler.
WIRING NOTES
The fol lo wing no tes apply:
1)
There are no user-re quired set tings (such as switches or head ers) on
FC410CIM.
2)
All wir ing must con form to the ap pli ca ble stan dards.
3)
All con duc tors to be free of earths.
4)
Fit the PCB to the FC470CV cover.
5)
Con nect wir ing to the mon i tored con tact. For FC410CIM typ i cal wir ing
con fig u ra tions see Fig ures 4 to 6.

INSTALLATION TO FC470CV DOUBLE GANG COVER
1)
As sem ble the FC410CIM to M520 Dou ble Gang cover, us ing the four
screws and wash ers pro vided.
2)
Fit cover onto FC backbox.
ADDRESS SETTINGS
The FC410CIM has a de fault fac tory set ad dress of 255, this must be set to
the loop ad dress of the de vice us ing the FC490ST Loop Ser vice Tool. The
FC410CIM may be pro grammed with the ad dress prior to be ing in stalled by
us ing the in ter nal pro gram ming port (see Fig.2) or af ter be ing in stalled by
us ing the pro gram ming port on the front cover (see Fig.3).
Note: once the ad dress has been pro grammed, take note of the de vice
lo ca tion and ad dress num ber, to in clude on site draw ings.
Note: this de vice use one ad dress only on the loop.
CABLING
Ca bles are to be se lected in ac cor dance with the sys tem de sign doc u ment
and the re quire ments of the ap pli ca ble stan dard. Two pairs of con nec tion ter -
mi nals (L+ and L-) are pro vided on the ter mi nal block. These ter mi nals are
used for con nect ing the mod ule on to the ad dress able cir cuit. The max i mum
sec tion of the ca ble that can be con nected at any one ter mi nal is 2.5mm
sec tion is cal cu lated based on the char ac ter is tics of the ca ble and the load.
ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT
The mod ule fits onto a stan dard dual-gang backbox.
