Danger:
Installation of RECARO seats and connection of the electrical and pneumatic components must
always be carried out by a specialist workshop.
An incorrectly installed seat may result in significant additional risks to your health, body and life in
the event of an accident. You must precisely follow all of the instructions, descriptions, general
warnings and hazard warnings, etc.
The RECARO seat has been solely designed for use in left-hand drive vehicles.
If the seat is installed in a right-hand drive vehicle, components located in the immediate vicinity of
the seat may cause inadvertent adjustment of the control elements. We are also unable to
guarantee the accessibility of the controls.
In the event of stress load, such as that caused by an accident, crash or similar, the seat may shift
position.
RECARO seats are only to be installed in vehicles that have received official installation approval
from the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), (i.e. vehicles without a 2nd row of seats / no
steering wheel air-bag, seats with 3-point integral seatbelts / no air-bag / no belt tensioner).
In the event of non-observance, there is a direct risk of very serious or fatal injuries.
If your original seat is equipped with an airbag and / or belt tensioner, it must not be replaced with
a RECARO seat. The original seats have been specially designed for the particular vehicle model
to provide active injury protection in the event of an accident, crash or similar. If the original seat is
replaced with a RECARO seat, this protection is no longer provided.
