3. Push the menu button to open setup menu 1.
4. Select regeneration on the display.
Obey the requirements:
• The engine is on.
• The speed control lever is in the stop
position.
• The engine temperature is sufficiently high.
• For products that have a blade clutch: The
cutting blade does not move and the blade
clutch is disengaged.
5. Select "Continue".
6. Obey the instructions and start the regeneration.
7. Wait 30–40 minutes while the product does a
regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.
Note: The warning symbols on the display can flash
during the regeneration process.
8. When the regeneration is completed, go back in the
menu structure.
9. If you get a message on the display that the
regeneration could not be started, speak to your
service agent.
To do a recovery regeneration
Only applicable for model FS5000 D.

• Do the same procedure as for a regeneration. The
difference is that the time necessary for a recovery
regeneration is 3 hours.
Note: The operator can do a recovery regeneration
from the control panel on all products with a
production date from January 1 2019. For engines
with a production date before January 1 2019, an
ECU software update is necessary before the
operator can do a recovery regeneration from the
control panel. If the update of the ECU software is
not done, the Yanmar servicing tool SmartAssist
must be used to do a recovery regeneration. Speak
to your Husqvarna service center for more
information.
To abort a regeneration
To abort a regeneration, do 1 of these procedures:
• Push the selection button for the arrow to go back in
the menu structure.
• Stop the ignition.
• Push the machine stop button.
• Move the speed control lever from the stop position.
A message shows on the display when the regeneration
is aborted.
