5 Assistance in the event of a fault
Fault
The appliance is
not operational.
The blades are
jamming.
The appliance
gets hot during
operation and
develops an un-
pleasant odour.
Possible cause(s)
You are not actu-
ating any speed
button.
The power supply is
interrupted.
There are too many
ingredients in the
working container.
The ingredients in
the working contain-
er are too big or too
hard.
One ingredient is
sticking to the blade.
The appliance's
recommended
operating time (30
seconds) has been
exceeded.
There are too many
ingredients in the
working container.
The ingredients in
the working contain-
er are too big or too
hard.
The temperature of
the food is too high.
Possible solution(s)
Press speed button [L] or [H] continu-
ously during operation, see 4.2 "Oper-
ating the hand blender".
Plug the power plug firmly into the
socket.
Take a portion of the ingredients out
of the working container.
Only put small (approx. 1.5 cm) and
soft ingredient pieces in the working
container.
Unplug the power plug, remove
the food that is stuck and clean the
blades, see 4.4 "Cleaning the hand
blender".
Switch off the appliance and unplug

the power plug from the socket.
Let the appliance cool down com-
ƒ
pletely prior to switching it back on.
Reduce the quantity of food to be
ƒ
processed before you switch the
appliance back on.
Take a portion of the ingredients out
of the working container.
Only put small (approx. 1.5 cm) and
soft ingredient pieces in the working
container.
Let the food cool down to under 60 °C.
