Safety notices for hedge trimmers
• This hedge trimmer can cause serious injuries!
Read the instructions for correct handling, prepa-
ration, maintenance, starting and shutting down
the hedge trimmer carefully. Familiarise yourself
with all actuators and with using the hedge trim-
mer properly.
• Do not use the device in the rain.
• Always keep hands and fingers at a safe distance
from the cutting blade.
• When working with this device, always wear gloves,
safety goggles, safety boots and long trousers.
• Always use the device with both hands on the
handles.
• On completing the work, always disconnect the
device from the mains before all cleaning and main-
tenance tasks or when taking a break.
• If the blades have become jammed, always turn off
the device first before trying to free them.
• If you are interrupted whilst working with the hedge
trimmer, always complete the current task first,
then turn off the device before taking care of the
interruption.
• Untrained operators or children must not use the
hedge trimmer.
• Electrical hazard, remain at least 10 m from over-
head wires.
• Ensure that all handles and safety equipment are
installed when using the hedge trimmer. Never at-
tempt to use an incomplete hedge trimmer or one
with an impermissible modification
• Always familiarise yourself with your environment
and pay attention to possible hazards that you may
not hear due to the noise from the hedge trimmer.
• Avoid using the hedge trimmer if people, and es-
pecially children, are in the vicinity.
