d) Operate electrical opening and closing travels and check that the motor rotates in the right direction
and stops at the desired position.
If any misfunction was detected at this stage, please check the overall wiring.
5 sEttiNG OF MEcHANicAL END stOPs
The mechanical end stops limit the actuator travel. Fine adjustment of the stop screws position is
possible within a limit of ± 2° maximum. These screws are located on each side of the actuator
nameplate.
The actuator stops on open and closed position when the torque limit device is tripped.
Nota: the actuators are set at the factory for a 90° travel.
Moreover, if the actuator has been supplied mounted on a valve,
open/close positions tuning should has been performed by the valve supplier .
Procedure for mechanical stops setting:
1 turn of the adjustment screw = 4° angle variation at the actuator
output.
a) Drive the valve to the closed position.
If the actuator stops before the valve closing is completed, unscrew
slightly the adjustment screw marked .
If, on the contrary, the closed position is exceeded before the actuator stops, adjust the position
manually by using the manual overdrive command and screw the adjustment screw to the stop
(do not force).
b) Drive the valve to the open position.
If the actuator stops before the valve opening is completed, unscrew slightly the adjustment screw
marked .
If, on the contrary, the open position is exceeded before the actuator stops, adjust the position manually
by using the manual overdrive command and screw the adjustment screw to the stop (do not force).
c) Perform complete electrical valve opening and closing operations as a check-up.
6 PrOPOrtiONAL cONtrOL OPtiON
The proportional control board allows to drive the valve
to intermediate positions.
Perform the electrical wiring according to the "Positio-
ner version" diagram.
Configuration:
3 micro-switches are used to set the types of control
and feedback signals:

Note : the actuator is delivered with the proportional control board
already installed, and the settings have already been done at our factory.
Go through the setting procedure below only if you have had to adjust
the mechanical end stops position (cf.§5).
The proportional control board setting is fully automatic:
- Press for 2 seconds on the S3 push button located on the board,
- The blue LED is blinking while the setting is in progress and remains lit when the setting is
completed.
- Control the setting by performing some open and close manoeuvers.
Warning: the actuator motor is protected by a torque limiting device. If the actuator stops in a
position which is not the one desired, please check if the valve has no stiff point.
