SETTING UP , START-UP AND OPERATION
• Make sure that the mains voltage is as specificied on the data plate at the
rear of the edger. Make sure that the On/Off switch ² is in OFF position .
Plug the mains cable first into the power socket at the rear of the edger, and
then into the mains socket.
Fitting the tanks and sponges
All lens types other than polycarbonate lenses require water cooling during edging.
When fitting new sponges, soak them in water and squeeze them dry a few times be-
fore installing them. Do the same if the edger has not been used for some time.
Fill the water drip tank ³ with normal tap water and place it
in its seat on top of the edger.
CAUTION! When positioning the water tank, take great care not to allow water to
enter the motor ventilation slots µ. For the same reason, take care not to knock
the machine while edging with the drip tank full of water. Risk of short circuit!
Make sure that the collection tank
º is correctly positioned in the base of
the edger.
Make sure that the sponges are correctly
positioned in their seats » and ´. Ensure
that the sponges come into contact with
the diamond wheel to ensure efficient co-
oling and dust removal, but do not press
too firmly against the wheel.
To adjust the pressure of the cleaning
sponge ´, simply adjust the position of
the spray shield.
