Removing acoustic tiles cleanly
Warning
`
`
The acoustic tiles are removed cleanly as follows:
1.
Clean the worst of the dust and dirt from the acoustic tiles.
2.
Use a tool with a wide, sharp blade.
We recommend a standard utility knife or wallpaper scraper.
Always take care when using tools.
3.
Carefully slide the blade behind one of the 4 corners of the tile.
Be careful not to damage the surface of the wall.
4.
Pierce the foamy part of the adhesive strip, splitting it apart.
5.
Repeat until the corner easily pulls away from the wall.
6.
Carefully but firmly, pull the tile, gradually lifting all other corners away from the wall.
Do not bend the tile while pulling it away.
7.
If the tile does not pull away from the wall, split the adhesive strip on the other corners with
a tool as described in steps 3-5.
8.
The remains of the adhesive strip can simply be peeled from the wall. Slowly peel the inte-
grated reinforcement film with the residue adhesive away from the surface at an angle of
between 90° and 135°.
The acoustic tiles have now been removed cleanly.
