Installing the adapter on Windows
Do not plug in the Wireless Adapter until prompted.
Insert the CD. If the installation does not start automatically, run the file setup.exe to start installation
of the Wireless Adapter software. Follow the prompts of the installation wizard.
Some versions of Windows may require you to grant permissions to proceed.

Some versions of Windows may have the option to install, re-install, or deinstall.

Review and accept the End User License Agreement.

 Confirm or change the file location.
When prompted, plug the USB Adapter into the PC.

Wait for installation to complete.

Note: Installation may pause during processing and appear stopped. This is normal. Wait
30 seconds for installation activity to resume before taking action.
The HP 802.1 1n Adapter Jump Start application is an alternative to Windows for setting up a
wireless network. It is not required. HP recommends Windows wireless controls for configuring the
Wireless Adapter. For Windows XP, additional steps are required. If your PC has a built-in wireless
adapter, you may need to turn off or disable it before using the HP 802.1 1n Wireless Adapter.
