7. Fault-finding and
rectification
Fault-finding on the pumps must
be carried out only by specially qualified
personnel.
Follow the instructions given below for
the rectification of faults:
Fault
Pump failure / no
performance or too low

Pump fails to suck
Too little water at
pool inlet
Pump fails to start
Pump generating
loud noises
Pump turns in wrong
direction: 400 V ver-

Motor gets very hot
Cause
Blocked line / preliminary filter /
impeller or worn impeller
Suction height too high / distance to
pool too great / pipe cross-section
too small
Blocked line / preliminary filter / filter
not flushed / pump too weak
Dirt between impeller and reverse
guide wheel / defective condenser
(230 V version) / power supply failure
Dirt in the pump / defective motor
bearing / incorrect installation
Incorrect electrical installation,
phases switched / performance
reduced by 50% / pump gets very hot
Inadequate ventilation / irregular
water supply
Remedy
Consult your dealer
Fit suction line correctly / fill preliminary filter with
water / check line for leaks / check pump cover and
drain plugs
Check preliminary filter / flush filter / check line for
leaks
Consult your dealer
Clean pump / Consult your dealer
Consult an electrician
Increase air supply / check water level in pool
