How to install your RECARO seat
Please note:
It takes care, patience and precision to
install a seat. Before commencing instal-
lation, ensure that you have parked the
vehicle safely and that you maintain a sure
footing at all times when carrying out the
work.
Risk of injury
during installation
The installation may only be carried out
by trained specialists. Improper instal-
lation seriously impairs the protective
function of the RECARO seat.
Only RECARO components (e.g. con-
soles) that are authorised for the corre-
sponding vehicle type may be used for
the seat. In particular the seat may only
be combined with other parts (parts
from other manufacturers, etc.) when
these have been expressly checked and
approved
or
RECARO.
RECARO accepts no liability for any
damage which results to the seat, other
objects as well as to persons etc., pro-
vided that the seat is not installed by
specialists and in accordance with the
installation instructions or if it is used
improperly.
Please consult your dealer if you have
any questions.
When using other consoles there is the
danger, inter alia, that the seat would not
be correctly fitted, that the console would
not sufficiently cope with the loads or that
the seat belt would not function correctly.
This can lead to injuries and accidents with
severe repercussions.

Consoles and built-in components
Consoles are important safety components.
In the case of a traffic accident components
that have not been approved (and tested)
can have considerable and serious reper-
cussions.
Components from other sources can dam-
age the seat (e.g. by an inadequate posi-
tion of the seat belt).

"Authorisation to handle pyrotechnic
restraint systems in a workshop and
storage area in accordance with the
laws governing explosives" is re-
quired for conversion work on belt
tensioners and installation work on
airbags and their control lines. These
