Setting the Unit into Operation

WARNING To prevent damage to your eyes,
never look directly into the light
source for a long time.
Please note that fast changes in
lighting, e. g. flashing light, may trig-
ger epileptic seizures with photosen-
sitive persons or persons with
epilepsy!
Connect the mains jack (5) to a socket (230 V~/
50 Hz) using the mains cable provided. Then the
unit is ready for operation. It is operated via a DMX
light controller (
through the control program adjusted (
ter 7). To switch off, disconnect the mains plug from
the socket.
Caution: Do not connect the unit to the mains volt-
age via a dimmer!
For power supply of another light effect unit, use
the mains output jack (7) if the total power con-
sumption does not exceed the power rating of the
fuse in the fuse support (6) [
imprint]. For connection, the mains extension cable
AAC-170 / SW from MONACOR is available, for
example. This way, multiple WASH-400LED units
can be interconnected.

Operation
The settings of the unit are made via a system
menu to be operated via the buttons (3) and the dis-
play (4). Immediately after switching on the power
supply, the moving head will make a reference
move for position adjustment. During this reference
move, the display will indicate
the current operating mode.
The functions of the buttons are as follows:
– MENU to call up and exit the setting menu
To exit the menu keep the button pressed for
more than one second. If you wait for approxi-
mately one minute, the setting mode will be ter-
minated automatically.

Refer to chapters 7 to 9 and use the buttons to
make the desired settings for the corresponding
operating mode.

Operation without DMX Controller
7.1 Automatic mode
The unit offers four automatic show programs: The

To allow the spotlight to move in sync with the
music, switch on its microphone (15). The sensitiv-
ity of the microphone is adjustable:
