Inserting batteries
Insert the AAA" batteries in the open
battery compartment. Only use bat-
teries of the type AAA Ni−MH 1.2 V.
Pay attention to correct polarity.
Close the battery compartment co-
ver.
Charging the batteries
Before the handset is used for the first time, insert it in the base station/charging
station for at least 14 hours. When the handset is inserted in the base station/
charging station properly, you will hear a confirmation signal. The handset warms
up during the charging process. This is normal and does not represent a risk. Do
not charge the handset with charging units from other manufacturers. The current
battery charge status is indicated in the display:

Setting the weekday and time on the answering machine
The weekday and time are automatically set on the answering machine via the
handset.
