C AUTION
Prior to first use, we recommend boiling the maximum volume of water in the kettle at least 3 times, then
pouring it out. The kettle is then ready for operation. The kettle may only be used with the supplied base.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Take the kettle off the stand (6), press the button (4) to open the lid (1) and fill the kettle with water (up to
the allowed maximum only) Close the lid by pushing onto it.
2.
Place the kettle onto the stand (6) – the electrical contacts connect automatically. Thanks to the central
connector design, the kettle can turn around 360° and be put on the base from any side.
3.
Connect the base to the mains. The ON/OFF is illuminated in green colour (7) and the 100°C temperature
button is illuminated in blue (flashing).
4.
Turn the kettle on by pressing ON/OFF (7). The ON/OFF is illuminated in red colour (7) and the 100°C
temperature button is illuminated in blue (continuously).
5.
The kettle will always boil the water to 100°C unless another programme is selected. After reaching the
boiling point, you hear an audible signal and the kettle switches off automatically.
Press the ON/OFF button (7) to end the heating process prematurely.
6.
Temperature Selection
Press the button with preset temperature of 70°C, 80°C, 90°C, 100°C (9) to set the required heating temperature.
Confirm your selection by pressing the ON/OFF (7) button. The kettle starts heating the water up to the selected
temperature and the ON/OFF button illuminates in red. The selected temperature button (7) will be illuminated
in blue (continuously). Press the ON/OFF button (7) to end the heating process at any time. Upon reaching the
selected temperature, the kettle turns off automatically and the ON/OFF (7) button returns to the green state.
You can select from the following programmes:
70°C, 80°C, 90°C, 100°C or KEEP WARM (maintain the temperature).
The kettle automatically shuts off after reaching the set temperature (does not apply to the KEEP WARM
programme).
7.
KEEP WARM
Press the KEEP WARM button (8).
With this function selected, you can set the temperature to 70°C, 80°C, 90°C. Set the required temperature.
Confirm your selection by pressing the ON/OFF (7) button. The kettle starts operating. In case the kettle is
taken off the stand and put back on within 1 minute, the KEEP WARM function continues to maintain the
preset temperature. You can interrupt the KEEP WARM function by pressing the ON/OFF button (7) and
subsequently turn it off by pressing the KEEP WARM button (8). The kettle turns itself off automatically if not
turned off with the ON/OFF button within 2 hours.
Notice: In case the KEEP WARM function has only been interrupted using the ON/OFF button (7), the kettle
remains in the KEEP WARM mode for 1 minute (even if the kettle is taken off the stand and put back on).
If the ON/OFF button is illuminated in red colour, it means that the water is being heated or kept warm via
the KEEP WARM function.
8.
Standby Mode
If no button is pressed on the stand of the kettle for 30 minutes, the kettle turns of automatically and so
does the illumination (the same applies even if the kettle is off the stand).
The kettle can be prepared for operation by pressing the ON/OFF key again.
Note: It is not a sign of a defect when a small amount of water droplets appear on the kettle base (6). It is
a small amount of condensed steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.
