• Iron a cloth to remove any residues from soleplate (16) and wait for
the steam which automatically comes out of the soleplate to finish.
• Bring knob (14) back to the minimum temperature.
• Switch off the appliance by means of push button (4) and unplug
from the outlet.
• Wait for the appliance to completely cool down before storing it.
WARNING!
Do not come into contact with the water coming out of the soleplate,
since it is very hot and could cause burns.
NOTE: Before using the iron again, pass the cold soleplate on a dry
cotton cloth.

VERTICAL IRONING

To "liven up" the clothes hung on cloth hangers, curtains, etc. you
can use the iron vertically:
• Set the temperature control knob (14) to the MAX position.
• Use the push button (4) to set the steam quantity emitted by the iron
during the ironing process to the maximum level.
• Hold the iron in a vertical position at a distance of about 15-20 cm
from the fabric.
• Press the push button (15) to obtain steam.
IMPORTANT
• Do not use this function on fabrics made up of synthetic fibres.
• Keep an adequate distance between the fabric and the iron soleplate
in order to avoid burns.
• Use this function only on clothes hung on clothes hangers. Do not
try to iron clothes if they are worn by a person: the steam is very
hot, you could cause serious burn injuries.
REPLACING THE ANTI-CALC CARTRIDGE
The appliance is provided with an anti-calc cartridge, which is inside
a removable container located behind the water tank (17).
To prolong the appliance life, the anti-calc cartridge should be
replaced at least once a year or every 6 months, if water in your
area is very calcareous.
