Connecting the Reader interface BC5311 and Reading head HF100 to Bewator-2010 E2V
The drawing shows how the BC5511-Cotag connects to the Bewator-010 system where the node EV is used.
Note! The BC5511-Cotag has to be re-configured by setting the CONFIG jumper 1 (in 5311) to ON and jumper
 to OFF, power it up and then presenting a configuration card. Otherwise the reader will not work
properly together with the EV. Reset the jumpers afterwards. The configuration card can be ordered
separately.
The power supply for the reader interface BC5311 is connected to the E:s incoming power supply input.
Maximum +24V. Note that due to current limitations, no connections are made to the +1V power supply output
terminals found within in the EV.


Setup
1. After the installation, you can power it up and test it.
. Activate the test mode (in BC5311) by setting, on the CONFIG switches; both switch 1 and  up (ON). This
makes the reader bleep when it reads any card.
3. After testing the Reader, make sure switches 1 and  are down (OFF).
4. If you want the Reader to bleep when it reads a valid card, set switch 4 up (ON).
Since the Reader reads cards without them being in contact with the reader, it will read the card as long as
the card is in the transmit range field. The Reader is however programmed not to read the same card within
5 seconds, the Rdd time (Repeat data delay). This time is pre-programmed, but can be changed if necessary.
