5. Create / define a new pairing
5.1 Encryption
The audio data is always encrypted with an AES-256 code to
ensure a tap-proof transmission. The required key will be
generated within the transmitter itself and only transmitted via
the chargers during the pairing process. As the key is not trans-
mitted via radio, the system is even better protected against
eavesdropping.
Should the receiver receive a differently encrypted audio signal
for which no key has been saved, the received audio signal will
be muted. The receiver display will also alternate between showing
the relevant channel name and the "KEY!" error message.
The encryption of the audio signal is shown schematically in
the following diagram.

Note: Only group ID 256 uses a factory-defined key that cannot
be changed. You can use this group ID for a system without
pairing.
