4.9 Telepilot (remote control handset)
Reach the "Telepilot" menu via "DIALOG CENTER" –> "OK" –>
"SERVICE" –> "OK" –> "Only for the retailer" –> "OK" –> Code Number

With the buttons
select the Telepilot enclosed with the TV set.
4.10 Terrestrial Tuner Module
Reach the "Terr. tuner module" menu via "DIALOG CENTER" –>
"OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK" –> "Only for the retailer" –> "OK" –> Code
Number "8500" pressing button " ".
With the buttons
select the built-in tuner.
4.11 Geometry
Reach the "Geometry" menu via "DIALOG CENTER" –> "OK" –>
"SERVICE" –> "OK" –> "Only for the retailer" –> "OK" –> Code Number
"8500" pressing button " ".
Adjust the picture geometry with the geometry test pattern (see point
10 of alignment instructions).
4.12 Preprogramming the SAT Module (only with SAT Module)
Reach the "SAT preprogramming" menu via "DIALOG CENTER" –>
"OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK" –> "Only for the retailer" –> "OK" –> Code
Number "8500" pressing button " ". Confirm with "OK" button.
In doing so, the SAT channel table stored in EPROM CIC80070 is read
out on replacement of EEPROM CIC38091 (SAT Module) for example.
4.13 Watchdog On/Off
Call up the "Watchdog" menu with button " " via "DIALOG CENTER"
–> "OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK" –> "Only for the retailer" –> "OK" –>
Code Number "8500".
The watchdog timer is reset at a cycle of 20s. If the pulse is missing
during this period, a restart is released.
To switch off the watchdog timer:
- select "off" with the green remote control button or
- press and hold the P+ button and switch on with the mains button or
- press and hold the P- button and switch on with the mains button

5. Sound Settings

Call up the "SOUND SETTINGS" menu with the blue button –> "OK".
5.1 Px Sound Level
Volume offset on a per-programme basis to adjust the different volume
levels of the individual transmitting stations.
The selected value is stored when leaving the menu.
(This menu option is not provided for AV programme positions).
5.2 Balance
Setting the volume level between the left and right channel.
5.3 Equaliser
Adjustment menu for 5-band equaliser.
5.4 Width of Base
Switchable between "normal" and "Wide".
(Not for Dolby Surround and Virtual Dolby)
5.5 Sound and Headphone Sound Switch-Over
Different types of sounds can be selected using the
dependent on the standard:
- "Mono": in the case of pure mono transmissions (indication not
changeable)
- "Mono A / Mono B": in the case of 2-channel sound transmissions
- "Stereo / Mono": in the case of poor stereo sound quality, the sound
can be switched over to mono
- "Nicam / FM"
- "Nicam A / Nicam B / FM"
- "Nicam Stereo / FM"
5.6. Audio Output
Can be set to "Solid" or "Adjustable" using the
(With 2-channel AF-module without Line Out this menu option is not
available).
5.7 Loudspeaker Output
Can be set to "On" or "Off" using the
(With 2-channel AF-module without Line Out this menu option is not
available).

6. Picture Settings

6.1 Basic Adjustment
Call up the "PICTURE SETTINGS" menu with the red button. Follow-
ing the user guide it is possible to select the options: "Personal values",
"During the day", "In the evening" and "Soft" (red button). The "Per-
sonal values" option allows to change the contrast, picture sharpness,
noise reduction and white balance. The other options do not. Certain
values are fixed in these cases.
Differences between these options and "Personal values":
- "During the day": arbitrary noise reduction and picture sharpness,
maximum contrast and changed white balance
- "In the evening": arbitrary noise reduction and picture sharpness,
reduced contrast and changed white balance
- "Soft": noise reduction at mid-value, minimum picture sharpness,
reduced contrast and arbitrary white balance.
6.2 Picture Sharpness
With the red button –> "OK" call up the "PICTURE SETTINGS" menu
and select "Sharpness".
With the
buttons it is possible to set the picture sharpness in three
steps for each individual programme position.
6.3 Perfect Clear
With the red button –> "OK" call up the "PICTURE SETTINGS" menu
and select "Perfect Clear".
With the
buttons this function can be switched "On" or "Off".
6.4 Comb Filter
With the red button –> "OK" call up the "PICTURE SETTINGS" menu
and select "Comb filter".
With the
buttons it is possible to choose between "Off" and
"Automatic" on a per-programme basis.
(This menu option is not provided in VGA mode).
6.5 Noise Reduction
With the red button –> "OK" call up the "PICTURE SETTINGS" menu
and select "Noise reduct.".
With the
buttons it is possible to select the settings "Off",
"Automatic", "Weak" and "High!" ("High!" cannot be stored).
6.6 Line Flicker Reduction
With the red button –> "OK" call up the "PICTURE SETTINGS" menu
and select "Line flicker reduct.".
With the
buttons it is possible to select the settings "Off", and
"Automatic".
(This menu option is not provided in VGA mode).
7. Settings via the Programme Chart
Settings entered in the station identification for individual programme
positions cause the TV set to switch to a forced operating mode. As a
result, the automatic evaluation function is deactivated.
7.1 Maximum Programme Number (reversing point)
Press button " " to call up the "TV-PROGRAMME-CHART" menu via
"DIALOG CENTER" –> "OK" and activate the desired broadcast
station with the "green button".
When entering the channel number "00" on any programme position,
programme selection with the buttons
lower than this position. If the reversing point is ≤ 10 only single-digit,
≤ 100 only dual-digit programme selection is possible.
7.2 Forced Settings in Programme Mode
Press button " " to call up the "TV-PROGRAMME-CHART" menu via
"DIALOG CENTER" –> "OK" and activate the desired broadcast
station with the "blue button".
For activating the forced operating modes via the station ident, enter
a comma in the 4th place from the left of the station identification. The
5th and 6th place contain the actual switching information (see table).
The first three places of the station identification can be filled with any
characters.
Example:
XXX,MO
The correct setting of the station ident shows only the first three places,
the switching information is not displayed.
