Environmental protection

The packaging material can be
recycled. Please do not throw
the packaging material into
household waste; please send it
for recycling.
Old appliances contain valuable
materials that can be recycled;
these should be sent for recy-
cling. Batteries, oil, and similar
substances must not enter the
environment. Please dispose of
your old appliances using appro-
priate collection systems.

Saw chain oil

Only use environmentally friendly, bio-de-
gradable saw chain oil made of renewable
resources such as rapeseed. Do not use
mineral oils such as motor or hydraulic oil.
Local and national regulations must be ob-
served.

Proper use

DANGER
Mortal danger on account of cuts in case of
unintended use!
 This appliance is suitable for commer-
cial use.
 The chain saw is only suitable for saw-
ing wood.
 Modifications and changes that are not
authorised by the manufacturer are pro-
hibited for safety reasons.
 The chainsaw may only be used with
approved battery packs. The use of a
battery rucksack is forbidden for safety
reasons.
 The chain saw is suitable for outdoor use.
 The chain saw must only be operated
with saw chains and guide bars that
were approved by the manufacturer. An
overview can be found at the end of
these instructions.

tory work.
Assembling guide bar and saw
The guide bar and saw chain must be as-
sembled before initial startup.
CAUTION
Risk of injury from saw chain. Wear protec-
tive gloves to avoid cutting injuries when
working with the saw chain.
Adjustment and operation of the guide bar /
saw chain are described in the chapter
"Care and maintenance".
Test the saw chain tension after assembly.
