12. Troubleshooting

You are having trouble connecting the radio to your wireless network.
• Check if another device, such as a computer or tablet, can access the internet through the WLAN-network.
• Check if your router's DHCP server is running, whether the static IP address is properly configured with the entire
configuration (subnet mask, standard gateway) in the radio.
• Ensure that your firewall isn't blocking the necessary outbound ports.
• Some access points are configured not to admit any new devices as long as their MAC address has not been
entered on the configuration page in the access point. For this, observe the manual of your access point or router.
You can find the MAC address as follows:
"Information" > "Netzwork Information" > "WiFi MAC" (WLAN MAC address) or "LAN MAC" (MAC address for
connection via network cable)
• Check if the right WLAN password has been entered. Observe capitalisation.
The radio is connected to your network but does not play specific stations:
• The radio station may not be broadcasting right now. This may be connected to different time zones as well.
• It is possible that too many visitors are trying to access the station's server at the same time. This may cause an
overload.
• It is also possible that only a specific number of users may access the server at a time, and that this number has
currently been reached.
• It is possible that the station does not broadcast at all anymore.
• The link filed to the internet radio station may not be up to date anymore. The links are updated daily. Usually, the
station should be available again one or two days later.
• It is possible that the internet connection between a radio station in another country and your connection is
temporarily or permanently too slow. Try out if you can play back the station on a computer or another device.
You want to use the media server function, but the radio does not find any device in the
network:
• Check if the radio is connected to your network. The radio and the media server also must be in the same network.
• A firewall that may block access to the released or public folders is active on your media server. For this, observe
the manual of your firewall if required.
