13 Switch for LP/BP, Linear and HP of channel A
and B
To switch the internal active crossover to Highpass/ Full
Range (linear) or Lowpass.
If this switch is set on Highpass the exact frequency
can bet set with control No. 15.
At switch position Lowpass/Bandpass the Highpass is
always active. That means a Bandpass is built in any
case. The Highpass is adjusted with control 15 and the
Lowpass with control 16 . Thus every desired Bandpass
between 15 Hz and 6000 Hz can be adjusted.
Caution! To avoid a lost of sound pressure make sure
that the crossover frequencies of High- and Lowpass
are separated of 2 octaves when building a Band-
pass.
That means: If the lowpass signal is adjusted to 320 Hz
the highpass should be adjusted 2 octaves lower on
approx. 80 Hz. (1 octave = double frequency or half fre-
quency)
If a subwoofer is connected we recommend to use
highpass control 15 as variable subsonic filter or to
turn control 15 counter-clockwise to 15 Hz to get a
subsonic filter.
14 Stereo/Bridged/Mono switch
To set the operating mode of the amplifier.
Stereo: If the amplifier is operated in 2-channel mode
the switch has to be set on stereo position and both
inputs (6 and 7) must be used.
Bridged: If the amplifier is operated in Mono mode the
switch has to be set on „BRIDGED-STEREO" IN posi-
tion. In this mode both channels work as one (Mono)
channel. On position „BRIDGED-STEREO IN" both
inputs A and B (6 and 7) must be used.
Mono: As on position „Bridged" the amplifier operates
in Mono mode were both channels works as one (Mono)
channel. On the position „Mono" only the input A(6)
must be used. This is neccessary if only Mono signal is
available.
Mono mode with mono signal: To operate the B2 as a
mono amplifier with a mono signal for the bridged
channels the switch has to be set to „BRIDGED-MONO
IN". In this mode both bridged channels work as one
channel (mono). On position „BRIDGED-MONO IN"
only one input A (6) must be used.

18 Cooling fan On/Off control and adjustment of
cooling fan start temperature
To switch the cooling fan „ON" or „OFF". In case the
cooling fan is not used, set the switch to „FAN OFF".
In this position the cooling fan is not in operation.
In case the cooling fan is used, the operation tempera-
ture can be chosen with this control. The temperature
range starts at 40°C and ends at 70°C.
19 Control for temperature adjustment of maximum
cooling fan speed
To adjust the cooling fan speed (maximum power) to a
defined temperature from 50° C to 80° C.
Example: On control position 50°C the cooling fan
would operate at maximum power at this temperature.
20 Connection of the integrated cooling fan
Plug connection protected against wrong polarity to
connect the integrated cooling fan. In case an external
cooling fan is connected (terminal 21) this plug has to
be disconnected and insulated to avoid damage inside
the amplifier.

1 Connecting the remote lead
The remote lead is connected to the automatic antenna
(aerial positive) output of the head unit (radio). This is
only activated if the head unit is switched ON. Thus the
amplifier is switched on and off with the head unit.
2 Connecting the battery cable
Connect the +12 V power cable to the positive terminal
of the battery. Recommended cross section: min. 16mm.
3 Connecting the ground cable
The ground cable should be connected to a central
ground reference point (this is located where the negati-
ve terminal of the battery is grounded at the metal body
of the vehicle), or to a bright bare-metal location on the
vehicle chassis, i.e. an area which has been cleaned of
all paint residues.
21 Connection of an external cooling fan
In case an external cooling fan is connected please
check correct polarity and make sure that 500 mA are
not exeeded.

4 Fuses
The input fuses are connected in parallel and provide
protection against an internal equipment fault, i.e. the
system must be additionally protected by a further line
fuse located in the vicinity of the battery (max. distance
from battery: 30 cm). The fuse ratings are 3 x 25 ampe-
res, and both must be installed as the amplifier protec-
tion rating is 75 amperes (3 x 25 A).
5 Fuse Function Indication
If the fuses (4) are destroyed due to malfunction the red
LED illuminates. In normal operation the LED turns
off.
6 - 9 Signal input
The B4 Precision has RCA connectors for RCA cables
that can be connected with the pre-amplifier output of
