Switching ON: (Figure 3)
The pneumatic hacksaw is fitted with a safety
valve (3).
Press the starting protection (3a)
together with the lever (3b).
Switching OFF: (Figure 3)
To switch OFF, let go of the lever (3b).
Repair and customer service.
Regular cleaning and lubrication.
Carry out the following steps once a week:
Pour some petroleum directly into the
air inlet of the pneumatic hacksaw.
Start the pneumatic hacksaw for 10 to
15 seconds. During this time, the petro-
leum drains out of the pneumatic hacksaw
together with the accumulated dirt.
If you pour a little oil into the air insert
after cleaning, this will contribute towards
maintaining a good motor performance.
Further lubrication is taken over by the built-in
economy oiling facility in the handle.
Before each application:
Loosen the vent plug (2).
Check the oil level in the economy oiling
facility and if necessary, replenish with oil.
Tighten the vent plug (2) firmly.
After approx. 300 operating hours:
Renew the gear oil.
After 6 months (for heavy duty, possibly ear-
lier):
Clean and service the pneumatic hack-
saw thoroughly.
For renewing the gear oil and for servicing, we
recommend the FEIN Customer Service Centre.
If required, you can change the following parts
yourself:
– Auxiliary handle (5c)
– Application tools
For repairs, we recommend our FEIN Customer
Service Centre and the FEIN agencies.
When carrying out your own repairs by quali-
fied specialist, we supply the repair documenta-
tion upon request.
Repairs may only be carried out by quali-
fied specialists in conformity with the valid
regulations.
Please always hand this Instruction Manual
to the those carrying out the repair.
Accessories.
Only use accessories recommended by
FEIN.
The model for the USA (7 534 08 13 00 0 -
KB 524) differs, in so far as it has the following
special parts.
Nipple
Protective cap
These special parts can only be obtained from
the respective national agency.

Warranty and liability.

The warranty for the product is valid in accord-
ance with the legal regulations in the country
where it is marketed.
In addition, FEIN also provides a guarantee in
accordance with the FEIN manufacturer's guar-
antee. For further details on this, please contact
your specialist dealer, your national FEIN repre-
sentative, or the FEIN customer service centre.

FEIN declares under its sole responsibility that
this product complies with the relevant provi-
sions listed on the last page of this Instruction
Manual.
