4.2 Preparing for use/Device use
Programs
Maintaining temperature: an option that automatically
switches on after finishing the selected program, except for
preparing yogurt (the operating temperature of the device
in this mode would result in spoilage of the yogurt). During
the program operation, the display shows the inscription
„b – --". The inside temperature is approx. 65-75 [°C]. The
maximum time for maintaining the temperature is 24h.
However, it is not recommended to heat food for more
than 6 hours, because a long heating time may affect the
taste and structure of the food.
Cancelling the selection: by pressing the button (1) the user
will delete the selected option or will interrupt the currently
running program.
Heating up: the program serving for reheating the pre-
prepared dishes. In order to reheat the dish, pour a small
quantity of water into the removable bowl and put in the
dish.
Steam cooking: a program for preparing steamed dishes.
Pour the water into the removable bowl, the food designed
for cooking preferably should be placed on a perforated
rack (not attached to the product).
Rev. 04.04.2018
Mode of preparing fish, potatoes or eggs: these are programs
selected using the button (5), they serve to cook the above-
mentioned products.
Pour the water and put the ingredients into the removable
bowl.
Meat preparation mode: the program for meat preparation.
The meat should be cut into smaller pieces. Pour a small
quantity of water and put the meat into the removable
bowl.
Rice cooking mode: the program for preparing plain rice. In
the device accessories there is a cup used for measuring
uncooked rice, the scale on the cup indicates the quantity of
grams of this product (maximum 160g). It is recommended
to pour 1 cup of water per 1 cup of poured rice. The
minimum quantity of poured rice is 2 cups. The maximum
quantity of poured rice cups is: 8 for the RC-HPC4L, 10 for
RC-HPC5L, 12 for RC-HPC6L and 16 for RC-HPC8L model.
Inside the removable bowl, there is a scale for measuring
the quantity of poured rice (note: the scale also takes into
account the water poured, i.e. 2 cups on the scale indicate
one cup of water and one cup of rice). The user can use any
proportions of water and rice depending on preferences,
however, the mixture cannot go beyond the scale range.
Soup cooking mode: a program for preparing soups and
broths. Take the water and put the ingredients into the
removable bowl.
Vegetable cooking mode: the program used for cooking
vegetables such as carrots, corn, etc. Pour water and put
ingredients into the removable bowl.
Pizza baking mode: pour a small quantity of oil onto the
bottom of the removable bowl. Insert the formed cake from
the previously prepared dough, lining the bottom of the
bowl and slightly its edges. Put the preferred ingredients
onto the dough, e.g. sausage, cheese, etc.
Cake baking mode: pour a small quantity of oil onto the
bottom of the removable bowl, spread evenly. Put the
previously mixed ingredients.
Yogurt preparation mode: either an already prepared
yogurt base (milk, bacterial cultures, etc.) should be put
into the removable bowl, or a container of yogurt into the
removable bowl partly filled with water.
Oatmeal preparation mode: the program used for preparing
oatmeal. Oat flakes and water or milk should be put into
the removable bowl.

The minimum quantity for filling the bowl is 1/5 of the total
capacity. The maximum filling level of the bowl is 3/5 of
the total capacity for products that increase their volume
and foam (e.g., oatmeal, rice, dairy products) and 4/5 of the
capacity for other (there is a scale in the removable bowl).
After selecting one of the meal preparation modes or the
reheating or steam cooking option and after setting the
working time, the device will start the first operation stage:
the heating process. The heating time until achieving the
proper temperature and pressure in the device depends
on the bowl content. During this stage, the set cooking
time is not counted down, the inscription „00" flashes on
the display. After reaching the proper temperature and
pressure inside the device, it will go into the pressure
holding mode and the display will stop flashing. In case of
a pressure drop, the device will automatically switch to the
heating mode. After the set cooking time has elapsed, it
will go into the temperature holding mode (apart from the
„Yoghurt" function, in this case it will turn off).
NOTE! Always check the safety valve and turn it to
the „Close" position before switching on the device.
NOTE! Be careful when cooking foaming products
(e.g. milk, leguminous vegetables) and fast-swelling
products (e.g. rice, groats), because in case of
placing too large quantities of them into the
removable bowl, they can boil out to the outside.
Memory function
In case of a power failure of up to 30 minutes, the device
will automatically return to the previously selected
program after reconnecting the power supply. After more
time has elapsed, the internal memory of the device will be
erased, program selection and time setting will have to be
performed again.
Opening the lid
In order to open the device after having cooked the meal,
it is necessary to wait until the pressure inside the device
