SETUP AND TUNING

1. Downhaul
a. Thread line as shown.
b. Downhaul sail until tack-fitting is aligned
with the edge of the extension (as shown).
This edge represents the end of the luff
length of the sail.
For example, when the extension is set on
22cm, and used on a 460 mast, the
edge of the extension measures 482cm
to this point.
c. In stronger winds, you can increase
downhaul by approximately 1cm.
d. In lighter winds, you can release downhaul
by approximately 1cm.

2. Outhaul
a. Set your NeilPryde boom to the
recommended length as printed on
the bottom of the sail.
b. Thread line as indicated, using the
Loop- Loop- Pull technique.
c. Outhaul the sail to its recommended
setting +/- 1cm. For cambered sails,
this will be a maximum of 4cm past
neutral.
d. In lighter winds, you can release the
outhaul by approximately 1–2cm,
and more on race sail.
e. In stronger winds, you can increase
the outhaul by approximately 1–2cm.
