5. Instruction manual
5.1 Program switch
The emergency off pushbutton, located within the close
range of the door system, has to be unlocked (turn and pull
the button) during commissioning.
The four following function programs can be selected via the
program switch:
OFF
The system is switched off.
In case of systems with optional locking
device, the door is locked
electromechanically. The door can be
unlocked and opened manually.
AUTOMATIC
The door opens following activation via an
activator and closes automatically on expiry
of the preset hold-open time.
The hold-open time can be adjusted with the
aid of the potentiometer located at the
control unit (0-30 sec.)
EXIT ONLY
The door can only be activated from the
inside (oneway function e.g. at closing time)
The door closes on expiry of the preset hold-
open time.
PERMANENT
The door opens and remains in
OPEN
this position until another function program
is selected. (e.g. summer operation/
cleaning purposes).
5.2 "External" key switch (optional)
The door can only be opened from the outside while the
program switch is set to
An opening pulse of approx. 2 sec. has to be triggered by an
external pushbutton.
The door closes on expiry of the preset hold-open time.
5.3 Opening in the event of a power failure
Doors without locking device
The door can be opened manually.
Doors with fail-secure locking
The door can be unlocked and opened with the aid of the
manual lock release.
Doors with fail-safe locking
The door can be opened manually.
5.4 Commissioning following a power failure
The operator starts automatically and performs the adjusted
program switch function.
5.5 Safety equipment

The prescribed force at the main closing edge of the
door is limited to 150 N at the highest according to
the guidelines for power-operated windows, doors and
gates (BGR 232).

The motion range of the door leaves is monitored by a
infrared
Presence sensor
As soon as a person or an object is within the
detection range while the door is open, the door travels
to its complete open position. The door remains in this
position until all people/objects are out of the
detection range. The door closes on expiry of the
preset hold-open time.
3.
Dynamic force limitation
The opening and closing speed of the RST has to be
adjusted with the aid of the adjustment valve so that
the dynamic forces comply with DIN 18650.

5.6 Maintenance
The system has to be de-energised (disconnected from
power supply) before performing any kind of maintenance
work.
De-energise the door system by switching off the fuse.
Before the first commissioning and depending on
requirements, however, at least once a year, the door system
has to be inspected by a properly qualified technician and
serviced if required.
Please consider the inspection book (WN 056963-45532)
for further information.
The working area has to be secured against unauthorised
access from other people.
Falling items or tools might cause injuries.
We would recommend taking out a maintenance agreement
with
DORMA
.
5.7 Care
Set the program switch to
OFF
cleaning the system in order to avoid that the door moves
unintentionally.
You can clean the whole sliding door system (aluminium,
glass parts, cover) with a damp cloth and a common
cleaning agent.
The
Presence sensor
has to be cleaned using a dry cloth.
All floor guides have to be kept clean from dirt.
5.8 DIY rectification of malfunctions
In case the door does not open or close,
please check if:

The power supply is in order.
·
The program switch is set to the correct position
(function).
·
The door is locked manually.
·
The detection range of the
·
The
Presence sensor
is clean.
·
The door is blocked by obstacles.
In case all check points are okay, please contact a service
technician.
