 The appliance is now ready for use with the MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME
that has just been set (also see par. USING THE APPLIANCE).
VERY HARD (degree 4)
 Keep the reset button (27) pressed until you hear the beep and steam ready,
maintenance and tank lights come on.
 Release the RESET button and wait for the display to return to its initial state
with the boiler light on.
 The appliance is now ready for use with the MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME
that has just been set (also see par. USING THE APPLIANCE).
CLEANING THE BOILER
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. To clean the boiler, disconnect the
unit from the board, unscrewing the locking knobs (14) on two sides of the unit.
Make sure that the water tank cap (22) is closed. Turn the unit upside down and
unscrew slowly the boiler drain cap (15).
Hold the unit and turn it upside down on top of a sink until all the water and
scale have been eliminated.
Dissolve the contents of the sachet decalcificant authorised by constructor, in
litre ofwater. Pour the solution into the boiler using a funnel.
Shake for a few seconds and solution for at least 1 hour with the appliance in its
operating position (but always unplugged and cold).
Unscrew the drainage cap and empty the boiler, then rinse with cold water (at
least 4 times).
Close the cap again (15), the appliance is now ready for use.
Attention: Do not use the appliance when there is the descaling agent
inside the boiler.
Non-compliance with these instructions will forfeit any warranty rights.
Periodically clean the surface of the appliance with a damp cloth and then dry.
During ironing pauses, stand the iron on the mat. Do not use rough stands. Do
not scratch or scrape the plate.
RESTARTING THE APPLIANCE AFTER DESCALING
Upon completion of descaling, to restart the appliance and therefore deactivate
the maintenance light, put the boiler switch to on and keep the reset button
pressed until the light goes out (approx. 10 seconds).

USEFUL TIPS

• It is advisable to divide garments according to the instructions contained in
the care labels. Start ironing the ones that require lower temperatures.
• Keep the iron soleplate clean. Clean it with a damp cloth when it is cool and
do not use descaling products not autorised by constructor. Avoid contact of
the soleplate with zips, hooks, rings, etc.
• Stand the iron on the mat after use. Make sure that the soleplate is cold;
dripping water can cause stains.
• During the first minutes dripping water can be released from the soleplate.
This is simply condensate that however is eliminated after a few minutes.
