• A fixed maintenance light indicates that the appliance boiler must be
cleaned (see section CLEANING THE BOILER).
• A blinking maintenance light indicates appliance malfunction and
consequent stopping of the jet of steam. In these circumstances proceed
with extraordinary maintenance and therefore clean the boiler (see sector
CLEANING THE BOILER). If the trouble persists, contact an authorised After-
Sales Service Centre.
• After ironing wait about ten minutes before switching off the unit (21).
• Wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Take the iron off the mat (23) and store in the compartment (25).
• Close the door until the catches click.
• To close the ironing board pull the levers (10) upwards and at the same time
lower the board until it closes completely.
• Before moving the board, make sure that the safety catch is in position.
SUGGESTIONS
To avoid condensate being produced on the board, wait for at least 10 minutes
before you start to iron.
IRONING WITH BLOWING FUNCTION
The blowing function swells garments making ironing easier and without
producing creases.
If you wish to use the blowing function, press the switch (20) on position (II).
The best results are achieved when this function is used to iron light fabrics (silk).
IRONING WITH SUCTION FUNCTION
The steam suction function takes moisture out of garments drying them perfectly.
If you wish to iron with the suction function, press the switch (20) on position
(I). The best results with this function are obtained ironing heavy fabrics (cotton,
linen, wool).

VERTICAL IRONING

This appliance can also iron in a vertical position; this makes steam spread more
evenly and allows to refresh garments quickly.
- Set the iron thermostat control (3) as far as it will go (LINEN).
- Hang the item of clothing on a hanger and hold it lightly in one hand.
- Pass the iron downwards, pressing the steam button.
- Alternatively and for a smoother operation it is possible to use the garment
support ( 28 ) as shown in the drawing
Important: With cotton and linen it is recommended that the iron touch
the material. With other materials, it is recommended there should be a few
centimetres distance

CLEANING AND SERVICING

It is normal for scale to build up when using an ironing system. We therefore
recommend cleaning the boiler when the maintenance light comes on (whether
fixed or blinking) to ensure that your appliance continues to give full satisfaction.
If you wish to descale the appliance yourself, you may use a non-toxic and non-
harmful descaling product for ironing systems authorised by the Manufacturer
and following the instructions on the pack.
