4 Inbetriebnahme
1) Zuerst die Eingänge (24 + 25) mit den Signalquel-
len verbinden: Plattenspieler mit Magnetsystem
an die Buchsen PHONO, alle anderen Cinch-
Buchsen sind für Geräte mit Line-Ausgangs-
pegel. Die Eingangsumschalter (4) auf die ent-
sprechende Position stellen. Zwei Mikrofone
(Mono, asymmetrisch oder symmetrisch) können
an die Klinkenbuchsen (26 + 27) angeschlossen
werden. Wird an der XLR-Buchse (1) auf der
Frontseite ein Mikrofon angeschlossen, darf an
der Buchse MIC 1 (27) auf der Rückseite nichts
angeschlossen werden.
2) Einen oder zwei Verstärker an die Buchsen
MASTER A und B (23) anschließen.
3) Für eventuelle Tonaufnahmen ein oder zwei Auf-
nahmegeräte an die Buchsen REC (23) an-
schließen. Der Aufnahmepegel ist von den Sum-
menreglern MASTER A und B (15) unabhängig.
4) Bei Platten- und CD-Spielern, die beim Aufziehen
eines Faders automatisch starten können, ist eine
zusätzliche Verbindung erforderlich: die Fern-
startbuchsen dieser Geräte über ein entspre-
chendes Anschlußkabel mit den Buchsen START
1, 2 bzw. 3 (22) verbinden. Beim Aufziehen der
Fader PHONO/LINE (13) oder des Faders LINE/
CD wird ein Kontakt geschlossen, der über das
jeweilige Verbindungskabel das Gerät startet.
5) Zuletzt den Netzstecker in die Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
6) Um starke Einschaltgeräusche zu vermeiden, zu-
erst die Summenregler MASTER A und B (15) auf
Minimum stellen. Dann das Mischpult mit dem
Schalter POWER (9) einschalten und danach die
Verstärker.

5 Bedienung

1) Den Talkover-Schalter (2) in Position OFF stellen.
(In Position ON werden beim Sprechen die Pegel
der anderen Kanäle bis zu 40 dB abgesenkt.)
4 Setting into Operation
1) At first connect the inputs (24 + 25) with the signal
sources: Turntable with magnet system to the
PHONO jacks, all other phono jacks are provided
for units with line ouput level. Set the input selec-
tor switches (4) to the corresponding position.
Two microphones (mono, balanced/unbalanced)
can be connected to the jacks (26 + 27). If a
microphone is connected to the XLR jack (1) on
the front panel, there must be nothing connected
to the jack MIC 1 (27) on the rear panel.
2) Connect one or two amplifiers to the phono jacks
MASTER A and B (23).
3) For recordings connect one or two recording units
to the phono jacks REC (23). The recording level
is independent from the MASTER controls A and
B (15).
4) An additional connection is required for turntables
and CD players which start automatically when
moving the fader from minimum position: Connect
the remote start jacks of these units with the jacks
START 1, 2 respective 3 (22). When moving the
fader PHONO/LINE (13) or the fader LINE/CD
from minimum position, a contact is made which
starts the unit via the corresponding connection
cable.
5) Finally, connect the mains plug to the socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
6) In order to avoid strong inrush bump, at first set
the MASTER controls A and B (15) to minimum.
Then switch on the mixer with the POWER switch
(9) and afterwards the amplifiers.

5 Operation

1) Set the talkover switch (2) to OFF position. (In ON
position the levels of the other channels will be
attenuated up to -40 dB.)
2) Adjust the level of the signal sources with the
faders (12-14).
2) Mit den Fadern (12-14) den Pegel der Signal-
quellen einstellen.
3) Für das Mikrofon MIC 1 den Klang mit den Reg-
lern TREBLE und BASS (10) einstellen, und für
das Mikrofon MIC 2 eventuell das Trittschallfilter
einschalten (Position LOWCUT).
4) Bei Bedarf kann für jeden Ausgangskanal einzeln
das Ausgangssignal mit den Schaltern (5) auf
MONO geschaltet werden.
5) Mit den Summenreglern MASTER A und B (15)
die Ausgangspegel nach der Pegelanzeige (6)
einstellen.
6) Den Klang mit den Reglern TREBLE und BASS
(16) für jeden Ausgangskanal getrennt optimie-
ren.
7) Für eine optimale Pultbeleuchtung kann an die
Buchse LAMP (8) eine Schwanenhals-Pultlampe
12 V/max. 3 W (z. B. MONACOR GNL-200, nicht
im Lieferumfang) gesteckt und mit dem Schalter
(7) eingeschaltet werden.
6 Vorhör-Kontrolle (Monitor)
Alle Kanäle, außer die für die Mikrofone, können ein-
zeln über einen Kopfhörer abgehört werden. Wenn
der entsprechende Fader auf Minimum steht, kann
damit der günstigste Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden einer
Signalquelle gewählt werden.
1) Dazu einen Kopfhörer (≥ 8 Ω) an die Buchse
HEADPHONES (18) anschließen.
2) Mit dem Drehschalter (17) den Kanal, der ab-
gehört werden soll, anwählen.
3) Mit dem Regler LEVEL (19) die Kopfhörer-Laut-
stärke einstellen.
Achtung! Stellen Sie die Kopfhörerlautstärke nie
sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstärken können auf
Dauer das Gehör schädigen! Das menschliche
Ohr gewöhnt sich an große Lautstärken und emp-
findet sie nach einiger Zeit nicht mehr so hoch.
Darum eine hohe Lautstärke nach der Gewöh-
nung nicht weiter erhöhen.
3) Adjust the tone for the microphone MIC 1 with the
TREBLE and BASS controls (10) and, if neces-
sary, switch on the rumble filter for microphone
MIC 2 (LOWCUT position).
4) If necessary, the output signal of each output chan-
nel can be switched to MONO via the switches (5).
5) Adjust the output level with the MASTER controls
A and B (15) according to the LED level display
(6).
6) Optimize the tone for each output channel with
the TREBLE and BASS controls (16).
7) For an optimum console lighting a gooseneck
console lamp 12 V/max. 3 W (e. g. MONACOR
GNL-200, not included) can be connected to the
LAMP jack (8) and turned on via the switch (7).
6 Pre-Fader Listening (Monitor)
All channels - except for those of the microphones -
can be monitored individually via the headphones. If
the corresponding fader is set to minimum, the most
favourable point of time for fading in a signal source
can thus be chosen.
1) Connect headphones (≥ 8 Ω) to the HEAD-
PHONES jack (18).
2) Choose the channel to be monitored with the ro-
tary switch (17).
3) Adjust the headphones volume with the LEVEL
control (19).
Caution! Do not adjust the headphones to a very
high level. Continuous high sound pressure can
damage the hearing! The human ear adjusts to
the volume and becomes less sensitive after
some time. Therefore, do not turn up the volume
after adjusting to it.
7 Mikrofondurchsage
1) Für das DJ-Mikrofon MIC 1 die Lautstärke mit
dem Fader MIC 1 (12) und den Klang mit den
Reglern TREBLE und BASS (10) einstellen.
2) Zur besseren Verständlichkeit einer Mikrofon-
durchsage können die Pegel der anderen Kanäle
automatisch abgesenkt werden, wenn in das
Mikrofon gesprochen wird. Dazu den Talkover-
Schalter (2) in Position ON stellen.
3) Der Absenkpegel kann bei Bedarf mit dem Trimm-
regler MUTE (11) zwischen 0 dB (keine Absen-
kung) und -40 dB (starke Absenkung) vorsichtig
mit einem kleinen Schraubendreher eingestellt
werden.

7 Microphone Announcement
1) Adjust the volume of the DJ microphone MIC 1
with the fader MIC 1 (12) and the tone with the fa-
ders TREBLE and BASS (10).
2) The levels of the other channels can be automati-
cally attenuated for a better intelligibility of a
microphone announcement when talking into the
microphone. Set the talkover switch (2) to the ON
position.
3) If necessary, adjust the attenuation carefully at
the trim control MUTE (11) between 0 dB (no at-
tenuation) and -40 dB (max. attenuation), using a
small screw driver.
