1 Übersicht der Bedienelemente und
Anschlüsse
1.1 Frontseite
1 XLR-Buchse für DJ-Mikrofon (Mono, asymme-
trisch oder symmetrisch). Dieser Eingang wird
beim Anschluß eines weiteren Mikrofons an der
6,3 mm-Klinkenbuchse MIC 1 (27) abgeschaltet.
2 Talkover-Schalter für Mikrofon-Ansagen über
Kanal MIC 1. In Position ON werden die Pegel
der anderen Kanäle um bis zu 40 dB abgesenkt.
Der Absenkpegel kann mit dem Trimmregler
MUTE (11) eingestellt werden.
3 Trittschallfilter für Kanal MIC 2
Position LOWCUT: Filter eingeschaltet
Position FLAT: Filter ausgeschaltet
4 Eingangsumschalter
5 Stereo/Mono-Schalter für die beiden Ausgangs-
kanäle A und B

1 Operating Elements and Connections

1.1 Front Panel
1 XLR socket for DJ microphone (mono, balanced/
unbalanced). This input will be switched off if an
additional microphone is connected to the
jack MIC 1 (27).
2 Talkover switch for microphone announcements
on channel MIC 1. In ON position, the levels of
the other channels will be attenuated up to 40 dB.
The attenuation can be adjusted with the trim
control MUTE (11).
3 Rumble filter of channel MIC 2
LOWCUT position: filter is switched on
FLAT position: filter is switched off
4 Input selector switches

Master A und B. Die Buchsen MASTER sind zum
Anschluß an je einen Verstärker und im Aus-
gangspegel abhängig von den Summenreglern
MASTER (15). Die Buchsen REC sind zum An-
schluß eines Aufnahmegerätes und im Ausgangs-
pegel unabhängig von den Summenreglern.
24 Cinch-Eingangsbuchsen für die drei Line-Kanäle.
Mit den entsprechenden Kanalschaltern (4) wird
zwischen den Eingangsbuchsen umgeschaltet.
25 Cinch-Eingangsbuchsen für die beiden Phono-
Kanäle. Die Buchsen PHONO sind zum An-
schluß je eines Plattenspielers und die Buchsen
LINE für je ein Gerät mit Line-Ausgang. Mit den
entsprechenden Kanalschaltern (4) erfolgt die
Umschaltung.

(Mono, symmetrisch oder asymmetrisch)
27 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchse für Mikrofon MIC 1 (Mono,
symmetrisch oder asymmetrisch). Beim Anschluß
an diese Buchse wird die XLR-Buchse (1) auf der
Frontseite abgeschaltet.

B. The jacks MASTER are used for connecting to
amplifiers and the output level is dependent upon
the MASTER controls (15). The jacks REC are
used for connecting recording units and the out-

Switching between the input jacks is performed
via the corresponding channel switches (4).
25 Phono input jacks for the two phono channels.
The jacks PHONO are used for connecting one
turntable each, the jacks LINE each for one unit
with line output. Switching-over is performed via
the corresponding channel switches (4).

2 Safety Notes

This appliance corresponds to the EC Directives
89/336/EEC for electromagnetic compatibility and
73/23/EEC for low voltage appliances.
This unit uses lethally high voltage (230 V~). To
prevent a shock hazard do not open the cabinet.
Leave servicing to authorized skilled personnel
only. Besides any guarantee claim expires if the
unit has been opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:

The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
•
Avoid excessively warm locations for the unit or
high humidity (permissible operating temperature
range 0–40°C).
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht den EU-Richtlinien für elek-
tromagnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und für
Niederspannungsgeräte 73/23/EWG.
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:

Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Räumen ge-
eignet.
•
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0-40°C).

Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen und sofort
den Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-

Für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes Staubtuch
verwenden, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder
Wasser.
3 Aufstellmöglichkeiten
Das Mischpult ist für den Einschub in ein 19"-Rack
vorgesehen. Es kann aber auch in eine Konsole ein-
gesetzt oder frei stehend betrieben werden.
•
Do not set the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
•
A damaged mains cable must only be repaired by
the manufacturer or authorized skilled personnel.
•
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is operated in the wrong way or not
repaired by authorized skilled personnel, there is
no liability for possible damage.
•
For the cleaning only use a dry cloth for dust re-
moving, by no means chemicals or water.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac-
cordance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the let-
ter L or coloured red.
3 Mounting
The mixer is designed for 19" rack installation. It is
also suitable for being mounted in a console or as a
table top unit.
