1 General instructions
1.1 Safety instructions
For your own protection please read these operating instructions carefully before you set
up your new now! Sound Panel. The manufacturer will not accept any liability for damage
which is caused by improper handling or failing to observe the safety instructions.
Keep these operating instructions in a safe place. Observe all warning notes and follow all
operating instructions.
Only use the now! Sound Panel indoors. To avoid the risk of fire or electric shocks, keep the
now! Sound Panel well away from water and any containers filled with liquids and do not
subject it to any excessive moisture.
Ensure there is sufficient air circulation. Never place the now! Sound Panel, the remote con-
trol unit or the batteries near an open fire or any hot surfaces such as heating radiators or
fireplaces. Do not place any open sources of flames such as candles on the now! Sound Pa-
nel. Never subject the remote control unit or the batteries to direct sunlight.
The now! Sound Panel is intended for operation with an electric voltage of 100 - 240 V /
50-60 Hz. If you are not sure about your voltage level, please contact an electrician. Protect
any electrical cables from damage and avoid bending or twisting the cable, especially in the
vicinity of the mains plug and the unit's own socket. Do not place any heavy objects on the
electrical connecting cable.
In the case of a thunderstorm or your absence for longer periods, switch the now! Sound
Panel off at the mains (if accessible) and always unplug the mains connection.
Never open the electrical components! Leave any servicing to properly qualified personnel.
Servicing is necessary when the mains connection is damaged, the now! Sound Panel has
been subjected to excessive moisture or liquids have penetrated the unit, when the unit no
longer functions perfectly or the now! Sound Panel has been dropped. Claims for compen-
sation cannot be accepted when damage has been caused by tampering improperly with the
unit.
Note: Switching off/disconnecting from mains!!
The now! Sound Panel is switched off by switching off the mains switch on the
underside (if accessible). The unit can only be completely disconnected from the
mains by unplugging it.
