Please note that the now! Sound Panel cannot be connected to several units via Blue-
tooth® at the same time. Only one connection can be made active to a playback unit. If the
connection is to be made to another playback unit, switch off Bluetooth on your active unit
and connect the new/different unit.
Please ensure that there are no active connections with any other units.
Bluetooth visibility: It is not necessary to set the mobile telephone in the Bluetooth menu to
"visible" to make a Bluetooth connection.
Bluetooth connection after disconnecting from mains: If the now! Sound Panel is not de-
leted manually from the Bluetooth list of the telephone (name: NOW! Sound), it is possible
to make a connection immediately and without entering any code ("connect" button). If the
now! Sound Panel is manually deleted from the Bluetooth list of telephone, a new connec-
tion must be made by entering a code (see paragraph 4.1 – making Bluetooth connection).

4.2 Playing from external signal sources

Use the now! Sound Panel is a high-performance sound system for TV sets, notebooks, MP3
players, mobile phones and many other units or for transferring your favourite songs to the
now! Sound Panel by wireless connection using Apple AirPort Express or Apple TV. (Apple
AirPort Express and Apple TV are additional equipment which must be acquired separately.
(This also applies to the extra cable connection is required)
It is possible to connect external signal sources to the underside of the now! Sound Panel.
There are two AUX inputs with cinch sockets and one optical digital input socket (Toslink) at
your disposal for this purpose.
Note: Select the relevant sound input source using the input selector buttons for AUX 1, AUX
2, OPT (optical Toslink) and BT (Bluetooth) on the remote control unit.
4.3 Playing from the audio output of the TV set
The now! Sound Panel provides two different ways of connecting the sound output of your
TV set to the electronics unit (cinch/Toslink).
If your TV set has a digital sound output, fibre-optic (Toslink) connection, connect this to
the (OPT) input socket of the electronics unit with a suitable Toslink cable. If there is an
analogue cinch sound output socket, connect the sound output sockets of your TV set to
the line-in input sockets (AUX 1 or AUX 2) of the electronics unit of the now! Sound Panel.
Use a cinch-cinch cable for this purpose. Switch off the loudspeakers of the TV set using the
mute button on the TV remote control. The volume can be controlled via the remote control
of the now! Sound Panel.
As more and more TV sets are equipped with digital sound output, their optical sound can
be connected completely interference-free to the electronics unit with the aid of an optical
Toslink cable.
