Function description
By repeatedly pumping the
press button (c) the pneuma-
tic remote control closes the
electrical safety/drain valve
"Elasi" of the heater applian-
ces Trumatic C 3402/C6002,
as from the manufacturing
date 06/97).
The drain valve is held closed
by means of a solenoid and
the green indicator lamp indi-
cates this closed status.
After a few minutes the cur-
rent can be interrupted by
briefly pressing switch (b),
and the valve opens.
When not using the remote
control, the press button can
be locked in depressed con-
dition by pressing it in and
turning slightly in clockwise
direction, up to the marking.
To unlock the press button,
press it in again slightly and
turn in counterclockwise di-
rection.
Closing the valve
"Filling the water hea-
ter"
1. Apply pumping action at
the press button (c) (approx.
4 - 5 times) until the green
indicator lamp (a) lights up.
Attention: At temperatures
of around 8°C and less, first
switch on the heater or
water heater to make sure
the valve does not open
again!
2. Fill the water heater as
specified in the operating in-
structions which are enclo-
sed with the water heater.
Important note: The electri-
cal safety/drain valve is held
closed by a solenoid. To
avoid unnecessary load on
the battery, we recommend
opening the valve when the
vehicle is not being used for
longer periods!
Opening the valve
"Draining the water
heater"
1. Disconnect current for
water pump (main switch or
pump switch).
2. Open hot water taps in
the kitchen and bathroom.
3. Open electrical
safety/drain valve by actua-
ting the switch (b).
The water heater is then
drained directly to the
outside via the safety/drain
valve.
Attention: Always check
that the water contents
drains completely!
The discharge socket of
the electrical safety/drain
valve must always be kept
free of contamination
(slush, ice, leaves etc.).
There shall be no claims
under guarantee for dama-
ge caused by frost.
