2.3 Product specific safety notes

Your weighing kitmeets the state of the art technology and complies with all recognized safety rules,
however, certain hazards can arise.
Do not open the weighing kit: It does not contain any parts which can be maintained, repaired or
replaced by the user. If you ever have problems with your weighing kit, contact your authorized
METTLER TOLEDO dealer or service representative.
Observe instructions
Always operate and use your weighing kit only in accordance with the instructions contained in the
product documentation. The instructions for setting up your weighing kit must be strictly observed.
If the weighing kit is not used according to the product manuals, protection of the weighing kit
may be impaired and METTLER TOLEDO assumes no liability.
Staff safety
Use only METTLER TOLEDO accessories and peripheral devices, these items are designed to work
optimally with your weighing kit.
Explosion hazard
It is not permitted to use the weighing kit in explosive atmospheres of gases, steam, fog, dust and
flammable dust (hazardous environments).

CAUTION
Risk of damage the instrument
1 Do not use sharply pointed objects to operate the optional keyboard of your
weighing kit. Although your weighing kit is very ruggedly constructed, it is
nevertheless a precision instrument. Treat it with corresponding care.
2 Do not remove the protection housing from the WKR/WKL: It does not contain any
parts which can be maintained, repaired or replaced by the user. If you ever have
problems with your weighing kit, contact your METTLER TOLEDO representative.
CAUTION
Risk of damage the instrument
1 For use with a certified (CSA or equivalent) power supply, which must have a
limited and SELV circuit output.
2 Use only specified voltage and currency or order universal AC adapter as
accessory.

− Do not touch electronic components. Use ESD-protection wristband.
