De sign and function
These in struc tions ap ply for pick ham mers TEX 3,
TEX 05, TEX 09, TEX 10 and TEX 12. The ham mers
are de signed for light de mo li tion and con struc tion
work. No other use is per mit ted. The ham mers can be
used both hor i zon tally and ver ti cally. Re fer to the spare
parts list to se lect the cor rect working tool.
Ac tions be fore start ing
Lub ri ca te the ma chi ne ac cor ding to the in struc -
tion in sec tion "Lubrication".
Check that hose for pres su ri zed air and con nec -
tions are not da ma ged and that all con nec tions
for pres su ri zed air are se cu re ly fas te ned.
Cho o se the right di men sion and length for the
hose.
Check that you have cor rect ope ra ting pres su re.
Hig hest per mit ted ope ra ting pres su re is 7 bar (e).
Blow the air li ne cle an from con ta mi na tion be fo re
it is con nec ted to the ma chi ne.
Lub ri ca te the shank of the bre a ker with gre a se.
Cho o se the right wor king tool and shank di men -
sion.

WARNING
Re pla ce worn or da ma ged parts to se cu re
cor rect re ten tion of the tool.
Op er a tion
Open the val ve for the pres su ri zed air.
Make sure you have a good ba lan ce with both
feet away from the wor king tool.
Press the bre a ker against the bed ding be fo re
dep res sing the trig ger.
Fre qu ent ly check that the bre a ker is suf fi ci ent ly
lub ri ca ted.
Av oid, if pos sible, id ling ope ra tion (ope ra tion
wit hout tool or ope ra tion with rai sed ma chi ne).
Tool change (fig. 2, 3).
Main te nance
Re gu lar ly con duc ted main te nan ce is a pre re qui si -
te for main tai ning the bre a ker as a safe wor king
tool.
Cle an and in spect the bre a ker af ter each use.
Al ways keep the bre a ker well lub ri ca ted du ring
ope ra tion.
Af ter each ope ra tion pe riod of app rox 150
wor king hours or twi ce a year, the bre a ker should

be dis mant led and all parts be cle a ned and
check ed.
TEX 09
Tight en ing torque (fig 4)
Lower part: 70 Nm. Shall be checked at least once per
month.
NB: Af ter each op er at ing pe riod of ap prox i mately
75 work ing hours or 4 times a year the spring pin (fig 5)
should be changed !
TEX 10
Tightening torques
(fig 7)
1. Back head, 450 Nm
2. Nip ple, 300 350 Nm. Use Loctite 234
3. Nut, 350 Nm
4. Nut, 60 70 Nm. Shall be checked at least once per
month.
TEX 12
Tight en ing torque (fig 4)
Lower part: 70 Nm. Shall be checked at least once per
month.
At each ser vice oc ca sion, the spring pins should be
re placed (fig.6).

Fill 5 ml twice per shift di rectly into the air in let (fig 1).
