peaceful and restful sleep from now on. SISSEL
was designed to enable snorers and their partners to have a
quiet and deep night's sleep. Please read through these in-
structions carefully before initial use to understand the func-
tions, effects and benefits of the SISSEL

and your head position on the pillow. It turns your head inde-
pendently, quietly and gently to the side when a snoring is
detected. Turning of the head increases the gap between the
tongue and throat and thus expands the airways and reduces
snoring. If no positive effect is achieved with the first move-
ment, the SISSEL

step: to the left or right, up and down until the snoring stops
or the ideal position is found in which the snoring is reduced
the most.
INDICATIONS
• normal snoring (medical: compensated snoring) without
clinical significance
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
• presence of postural vertigo
• persons with suspected sleep apnea syndrome should
consult a doctor prior to use
• not recommended for use by children
• persons with pacemakers should consult a doctor before use
GENERAL COMMENT
Snoring is generally subject to the individual's health and body
condition. Alcohol consumption, eating habits, colds, stress, me-
dication and the physical/mental condition may additionally
influence snoring habits, intensity and duration as well as your
individual body mass index (BMI). Please take this into conside-
ration.
NOTE
If you notice signs of fatigue and lack of sleep after using the
pillow, this could be a sign of further problems, such as sleep
apnea. In this case, please consult your doctor.
After unpacking the SISSEL

adjustable pillow made of high-quality polyurethane foam
with a visco-elastic surface (2) for utmost comfort and a fle-
xible Vario pad (5) to adjust the pillow height.
The embedded air chambers (4) inside the pillow gently
guide your head in the desired position as soon as a snoring
sound occurs. The sensor plate (3) registers the head position.
For the protection of the microphones (1), the pillow has an
air-permeable, moisture-repellent inner protective cover. On
top comes the washable pillowcase.
GETTING USED TO THE SISSEL
Users might require some time (approx. 28 days) to adjust to
the special product features of the SISSEL

trol unit (distance to the head), some sound may initially be
registered upon activation of the air chambers. We therefore
recommend to place the control unit in the supplied case and
as far away from the head as possible under the bed (or in the

towel. Once accustomed to the pillow, users will usually not
perceive these sounds as disturbing anymore.
