Motor Safety Protection
Important: To prevent damage to the motor this motor has to be regularly blown out or vacuum cleaned so that the nor-
mal motor ventilation is not affected by dust.
1. Connect this tool to a power source with the appropriate voltage for your model and a 1 6-amp branch circuit with a
16-amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker.
2. If the motor won't start, turn the switch "OFF" immediately and unplug the tool.
3. If the motor suddenly jams during mixing, release the switch and unplug the tool. The motor can then be restarted.
4. For the following reasons fuses can often blow or safety switches shut down
a) Motor has overheated - this can occur if filling up too fast or if the tool is started up and stopped frequently.
b) Line voltages should not be more than 10% above or below the nameplate voltage. For heavy loads, however, the vol-
tage at motor terminals must equal the voltage specified for your model.
5. Most motor damage can be attributed to loose or faulty connections, overload or too low voltage (e.g. if the lead
cross section in the mains power is too small) or excessively long leads in the power supply. If the motor is not operating
smoothly, always check the connections, the load and the power supply cycle. The lead cross section should not be less
than 2.5 mm .

Unpacking
To minimise the risk of injury by unexpected start-up or electric shock during unpacking and fitting the plug, do not plug
in. The mains cable always has to be unplugged if working on the tool.
The tool is supplied in a box.
- Remove the tool and all loose parts from the carton.
- Place all parts on a secure, stationary work surface and look the machine over carefully.
Before assembly check to ensure that no parts are missing. If some are missing, do not assemble. Check the
packaging to see if the missing parts are still in there. There is a full list of parts at the end of these instruc-
tions. Use the list to identify any missing parts.
If any parts are missing do not use the electric mixer until the parts have been replaced. This could otherwise
result in severe injury.
Basic Functional Operation
On / off switch
On / off switch - Press the on switch to start up. To switch off release the button. This tool has a fixed position button.
For constant use switch the on switch and press the fixed position button. To switch off push the on switch again and
then release.
Setting the speed
For the best mixing performance the speed can be electronically
set by turning the knob. See figure 1.
