7.4 Service / maintenance / cleaning
7.4.1 Lubrication
Before starting any work on the linear unit, any electric drives used must be prevented
from accidental switching on.
All linear units are provided in the factory with the required lubricant quantities. The maintenance
intervals are determined by the number of operating hours, loads and ambient influences.
You can clean the outer surfaces of the linear unit with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Never use cleaning agents containing solvents.
Cleaners containing solvents attack the material and can damage it.
7.4.2 Setting the guide
All linear units are set optimally in the factory. If a correction of the guide play should be neces-
sary, this must be carried out as follows:
•
Using grub screw 1, the adjustment bar 2 of the guide slide 4 is pressed against the steel guide
shafts 3 on the guide slides.
The linear unit is set optimally when the guide slide can easily be pushed in traversing direction A
but does not have any play that can be determined when traversing the guide profile and the gui-
de slide against each other B.
