The date set flashes on the screen ("Su 1.01.12" when first switched on).

date in ten-day steps.
The weekday indication follows automatically. The indication uses the first
two letters of the English name of the day.
The built-in calendar runs from 2000 to 2099.
Day of the week indication:
Su = Sunday
Mo = Monday
Tu = Tuesday
We = Wednesday
Th = Thursday
Fr = Friday
Sa = Saturday
