Recommended separation distances between
portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the Smoke Check
The Sm oke C heck is intended for use in an electromagnetic e nvironment in which
radiated R F disturbance s are controlled. The customer or the user of the Smoke Check
can he lp prevent e lectromagnetic interfere nce by maintai ning a minimum distance
be twe e n portable and mobile RF communications equipment (transmitters) and the
Sm ok e Check as re commended below, according to the maximum output powe r of the
com m unications equipment

output powe r rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter
m anufacture r.
