Note:
When pulling out the cables whose connectors do not lock themselves (USB cables and
Line-Out cable) from the cable exits on the back, fix the cables with the wire saddle to
prevent the cables from coming off.
1. Pass the interface cables through the wire saddle (F 20) on the pole mounting
plate. See Illustration F.
2. Pass each cable through the cable exits at the bottom of the connector cover.
3. If you use the product with the optional customer display, remove the U-
shaped part from the connector cover. See Illustration G. If you use the
product without the optional customer display, keep the U-shaped part
attached.
4. Align the tabs on the upper side of the connector cover with the notches on
the main body, and push the front part of it to click onto the printer cover.
5. Hold the lower part of the connector cover, align the tabs on the upper side of
it with the notches on the main body as shown in Illustration H, and push the
front part of connector cover to attach it.
6. Turn over the main body back on its bottom, and make sure the cables are not
pinched.
Attaching the Power Button Cover
Attach the power button cover that comes with the product onto the power button
to prevent accidental operation of the power button. Follow the steps below to
attach the power button cover.
Note:
It is recommended to clean the area around the power button with a cloth moistened with
alcohol before you attach the cover.
1. Open the power button cover. See Illustration I.
2. Peel off the backing paper. See Illustration J.
3. Attach the power button cover as shown in Illustration K.
CAUTION:

Be sure to align the left edge of the power button cover with the right
edge of the printer reset button (A6).

Be sure to align the inside edge of the power button cover with the
upper edge of the power button (A7).
Turning On/Off the TM-T88V-DT
Use the power button (See A 7.) to turn on/off the TM-T88V-DT. You can also
turn on the TM-T88V-DT through the network.
The operating system of the TM-T88V-DT has a standby mode. The system can be
set so that the standby mode can be turned on and off with the power switch.
CAUTION:

If you turn the product off, wait more than 10 seconds before you turn it
on again.
❏
When the product is turned off or when it is in the standby mode, do
not hold down the power button longer than 4 seconds.
