Set the bracket bow to the full-

throttle position
Unscrew the hex nut (1)

Turn the sleeve (2) and set the
N
throttle cable as needed
Lock the sleeve (2) with the hex
N
nut (1)
Checking / adjusting the stop

Checking is only necessary if the carrier
has been replaced.

Distance (a) must be 1 to 2 mm –
N
otherwise, correct the position of the
stop (1) (arrows) and check the
throttle cable setting
Refit the two molding parts and
N
screw the knob on to the lever
Dismounting the cut-off machine
Raise (release) the tube locking
N
lever and raise the tube clear of the
machine
Lift out the cut-off machine
N
Trial cut
If the result of a trial cut is considerably
wider than the width of the abrasive
cutting wheel segment
(approximately 1.5 times the segment
width), check that the abrasive cutting
wheel is correctly fitted.
Transport
The star handle can be unscrewed and
the guide tube swung forwards for
compact transport (remove the water
tank, if fitted).
Reworking the frame of the cut-off
machine cart STIHL FW 20
The hole pattern of the support is
different and possibly may not match the
hole pattern of the previous cut-off
machine cart STIHL FW 20.
If the support cannot be installed:
Contact a STIHL approved dealer or
rework the previous frame of the cut-off
machine cart STIHL FW 20.
Reworking the frame

Drill a hole at distance a = 25 mm

with diameter b = 8.5 mm.
