Service life of filter: The service life of the filter depends on the quantity of dust drawn in. Very fine
dust may drastically reduce the service life. Saturated pre-filters have to be replaced; saturated main
filters can be cleaned up to a maximum of five times.
Change of filter: If the composition of the drawn-in particles is not known or if there is a risk of
spreading hazardous materials into clean areas, the filter should be changed completely after use on
the respective building sites. For this purpose both filters have to be replaced.
CAUTION: Always shut down the unit before changing the filter !
Cleaning of the pre-filter:
Z-Line coarse air filter Class G4 in conformity with EN 779 This is a filter for specific coarse dusts up
to 3 µm with a separation efficiency of 85 to 98 per cent at 10 µm and 30 to 55 per cent at 1 µm.
Suspended filter matter (HEPA) - dust class H in conformity with EN 60335, separation efficiency >
99.99 per cent (meets HEPA H13 in conformity with EN 1822).
Activated carbon filter: Binds odour molecules, such as mouldy odour, tobacco smoke, heating oil
odour, solvent vapours or ozone
Cleaning of the main filter:
Fine dust filterof dust class M, in keeping with EN 60335-2-69, enclosure AA to take up health-
hazardous dusts with a critical value >= 0.1 mg/cum at commercial stress (such as wood dust or
plumbiferous dust in keeping with TRGS 505)(exceeds class F9 in conformity with EN 1822). Fine
dusts and particles of up to 1 µm are filtered. The separation efficiency is 99.9 per cent.
Suspended filter cartridge of dust class H, in keeping with EN 60335-2-69, enclosure AA to take up
health-hazardous dusts with a critical value >= 0.1 mg/cum at commercial stress, such as mould
spores or KMF (fulfils HEPA H14 in conformity with EN 1822). Suspended solids and particles of up to
1 µm are filtered. The separation efficiency is 99.995 per cent
Use a 3/8 in. spanner to undo the eight bars which hold the suction plate (see Fig. 3).
Push the bar from the middle of the suction plate to the outside.
Remove the suction plate.
Remove the spent filter and place a new one.
