5. Commissioning of the device
1. Switch the supply voltage on. - The "Settings" > "Interface"
menu will appear on the touch screen. Click on "Login" to carry
out the settings (logged in).
2. Set the IP address.
If the connected computer network contains a DHCP server,
activate the "DHCP" button. The IP address is automatically
obtained and displayed.
If the computer network does not provide a DHCP server, the IP
address, network mask (SN) and standard gateway are to be set
as specified by the EDP administrator.
A fixed IP address was assigned to the device. Therefore, acti-
vate the "DHCP" button.
3. Set the BMS bus address for the CP700.
4. Modbus/RTU: Set the baud rate and parity.
5. Set the display timeout. If no entry is made via the touchscreen
of the CP700 for a predefined time (e.g. five minutes), the
screen is blanked.
6. Confirm the changed settings with "OK". Click on "Logout"
when no settings are to be changed.
7. Using the web user interface
System requirements
• Microsoft Silverlight (version 5.0 or higher) must be installed.
• JavaScript should be activated; e.g. necessary for report and
software update.
• The Pop-up blocker should be deactivated for the IP address.
Otherwise, access to the manual, the software updates and the
network settings could be hampered.

"Bus overview" button shows a list of the bus devices for
selection, querying and parameterisation.

"Alarm" button shows an overview about pending
alarms.

The "Settings" button allows the setting of the interface
and the operation language of the device.

Getting started
1. Start the Internet browser
2. Read the IP address from the "Settings" > "Interface" menu and
enter it in the Internet browser.
3. Select the user language for the web user interface. Click on
the language you want to use resp. click the appropriate flag.
4. Click on "Bus overview" to get a graphic representation of all
BMS bus devices.
5. Select "Tools" > "Manual" to open the operating manual.
