PROBE CONNECTION
The instrument may be fitted with interchangeable probes for measuring
ILLUMINANCE, IRRADIANCE and LUMINANCE.
To connect the probes, insert the round female connector into the DIN
45326 8-pole male connector on the instrument.
The connectors are polarized; insertion and extraction require a certain
effort, so proceed carefully so as to avoid damaging the connector; when
inserting or extracting the connector, the safety ring nut must be unscrewed.
The safety ring nut must be fitted correctly into the thread, be careful
not to spoil the plastic thread.
HOW TO MEASURE
Press the ON/OFF key to switch on the instrument. If the probe is connec-
ted, the instrument is ready to measure the value of the source of light.
Depending on the probe used, the measurement will be in lux, Watt/m

candles/m
.
When the instrument is switched on the auto-power off device is activated; this
means that the instrument switches off automatically after about 3 minutes.
When the ON/OFF key is pressed for the second time the instrument swit-
ches off.
To take measurements without interruptions, the jumper inside the instru-
ment must be shifted. In this position the instrument will switch on and off

The symbol indicates that the bat-
tery charge is reaching an insuffi-
cient level for correct measuring
with the instrument. It is advisable
