8. Disposal
Dispose of the product when it has become unusable pursuant to
the legal regulations in your country.
9. Tips & notes
• Normally, it is impossible to operate two soundcards simultane-
ously (e.g. onboard-soundcard on a mainboard and this sound-
card supplied here). Switch the onboard soundcard of your main-
board off in BIOS/setup, if possible.
• Check the settings in the volume control. Some inputs/outputs
may be de-activated as a standard (e.g. the microphone input).
• Check the assignment of the audio cable of your CD-rom or CD-
burner (R = right audio signal, L = left audio signal, G =
ground/GND).
• The PC loudspeaker set also "consumes" energy when it is
switched off (although only very little), since the on/off switch is
no mains switch.
Therefore we recommend the use of a multiple socket with mains
switch. You can connect other devices with a stand-by energy
consumption to it (e.g. monitor, computer with ATX mains
adapter, scanner, printer etc.) to avoid useless energy "consump-
tion"
A complete PC system (consisting of several devices without
"real" power-off switches, with several mains adapters) may have
an energy consumption of 50 W even if it is switched off.

Prescribed use
The "PCI sound set III" consists of a PCI sound card and a loud-
speaker set with subwoofer.
The PCI sound card is designed for an installation into a PC-com-
patible computer and must be inserted into a PCI slot in the com-
puter. The loudspeaker set is suitable for playback of analogue
audio signals (line level) like they are provided by the PCI sound
card.
Any use other than the one described above damages the device.
Moreover, this involves dangers, such as e.g. short-circuit, fire,
electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or
rebuilt.
