may be a fault in the lubrication oil feed:
Check the chain lubrication, clean the oil ducts, if neces-
sary, contact our customer service department.
INSTALLING THE CUTTING HEAD (Fig. 10 - 13)
1. Switch the device off and remove the plug from the
mains supply.
2. Place the cutting head on the motor housing (arrows
congruent) and turn it clockwise until it locks in place
(arrow and lock congruent).
3. Ensure that the locking device is engaged.
4. To remove the cutting head, press the locking button
and carry out the installation sequence in reverse.
ADJUSTING THE REAR HANDLE (Fig. 14)
1. The rear handle can be moved into 4 positions by
pressing the locking button and turning the handle to
the required position.
2. Before using the machine, ensure that the release
has been returned to the original position and the rear
handle is secure.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING HEAD (Fig. 15)
For correct use, the cutting head can be set to the
desired position by pressing the adjustment button (8
adjustments).
USING THE POLE PRUNER (Fig. 16)
Never use the device at an angle of more than 60°. The
pole pruner does work over 60° but there is an increased
risk of injury due to branches falling suddenly.
When using the device, also take note of the surface
around you. This can stop you from tripping over branch-
es that are lying around.
Never use the saw without oil. Only use biodegradable
chainsaw oil.
Never use the pole pruner without checking the tension
of the chain.
To operate the device, press the release button and then
actuate the switch.
CUTTING TIPS FOR THE POLE PRUNER
The pole pruner is uses a chain with a low kickback. Fur-
thermore, when constructing the device, care was taken
to keep the kickback risk as low as possible. Despite this,
a minor kickback is unavoidable when using the upper
saw bar. Be prepared for a kickback moment if you are
using this side of the bar or if you touch another branch
with the top side of the bar.
Always hold the device firmly with both hands.
Thin branches can be cut through in one cut.
To prevent a branch splitting and snapping, it should be
cut off in several parts.
When sawing long branches off, first saw into the branch

from below and to the outside of the desired sawing point.
The cut should be between a third and half of the thick-
ness of the branch. This prevents the branch snapping off
when you saw the branch from above further away from
the trunk. Finally, cut the stump off using a straight cut. If
necessary, seal the cutting point.
