7. FAULTS / TROUBLESHOOTING
Blower unit fails to supply air:
•
Battery is flat. Battery fails to charge.
•
Switch is in "off" position
•
Switch defective
•
Power lead or plug connection defective
•
Motor bearings defective
•
Blanking plugs not removed from filters.
Blower supplies insufficient air:
•
Battery insufficiently charged
•
Filter canisters blocked
•
Hose blocked or leaking
•
Blockage or leakage in facepieces
•
Not all blanking plugs removed from filters
Battery fails to charge:
•
Power lead or plug connection defective
•
Charger defective
•
Battery defective or worn out. Battery has low capacity.
Battery discharges too quickly:
•
Battery is not adequately discharged. Discharge the battery completely with the universal charger and charge again (see '4.2.4
Discharging batteries').

Charger defective
•
Battery defective or worn out. Battery has low capacity.
