Notes:
•
A reset mode can only be selected once the EIB 741 has been switched on for at least five seconds before the Reset button is
pressed.
•
The EIB 741 starts the respective reset mode once the Reset button is released.
•
If the Reset button is pressed, then the various blinking patterns of the STATUS LED show the currently selected reset mode
(which will be activated when the Reset button is released).

Importance and monitoring of the fan:
The fan installed in the EIB 741 is necessary for sufficient cooling of the EIB 741. If the fan fails, the EIB 741 can overheat, leading
to faulty operation or destruction of the EIB 741. Therefore, sufficient and unimpeded air supply must be ensured.
Constant monitoring of the fan is possible by evaluating the status word (see the User's Manual). This failure indicator of the fan,
however, does not monitor the EIB 741 for overheating. It simply indicates that the fan no longer functions correctly.
